Frequently Asked
Questions...
Q: Who can join the Cumberland Valley Harley Owners Group?
A: Membership is open to anyone who shares our enthusiasm for
Harley-Davidson motorcycle riding, and who is already a member
of the National H.O.G. organization.
Q: When and where are the monthly meetings held for the CV
HOG group?
A: Chapter meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of every month,
excluding December. Meetings are held at the Mechanicsburg VFW,
Lower Level, located at 4907 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg. The
VFW is across from the Hampden Shopping Center behind SuperPetz.
Meetings begin at 7PM and generally last an hour to an hour and
a half. During the riding season, there is often an ice cream
ride afterward.
Q: How do I join the CV HOG?
A: Simply fill out a membership application which can be
downloaded here. You may also obtain an application at
Appalachian Harley-Davidson or at any of the monthly Chapter
meetings.
Q: How much does it cost to join CV HOG?
A: Annual dues for Chapter membership are only $15.00 per year.
But remember, you must also be an active member of the National
Harley Owners Group as well. (Visit
www.hog.com for details on joining the extended H.O.G.
family!)
Q: How do I know if CV HOG is right for me?
A: You are welcome to join us as our guest for two meetings
before deciding whether to join.
Q: What are the benefits to becoming a member?
A: The Cumberland Valley Harley Owners Group implemented an
Active Member Rewards Program in
2004, which turned out to be a huge success. Basically, members
earn points throughout the year for their participation in
rides, events, meetings, etc. As the points accumulate, so do
the rewards. Members earn FREE CV HOG Merchandise as well as
discounts at Appalachian Harley-Davidson simply by doing what we
like to do best...ride and have fun!
Q: When are the Chapter rides and events?
A: Generally, during peak riding season there are rides planned
every weekend and sometimes even overnighters and longer
excursions. The monthly chapter newsletter will list all of the
current and upcoming events and rides. You can also view the
Chapter's online calendar,
which will provide up to date information as well. It is pretty
safe to say that there is always something going on. We strive
to offer a wide variety of rides and events so that there is
always something for everyone. Q: Who do I contact if
I have questions?
A: Should you have questions about your membership,
please contact the membership officer. You may email them at:
membership@cvhog.org
as well. Q: I'm not familiar with group riding. Where
can I find information about how to ride with a group?
A: This is an excellent question. Please check out our
Event Safety page for
information about group riding and other safety related
material. |
